So it was time to brave getting on the saddle again. Still slightly sore from my first ride on Sunday (that blog is comming soon, yes they are out of order). I got on and started for the hill that had stopped me on Sunday. This time I was able to make it over, but it wasnt easy. overall I felt more comfortable and was managing inclines better. In fact, over all I don't know that I would have ended my ride when I did. But I had gotten more lost than I though as my attempts to make my way home without using a main road didn't pan out attempt after attempt. Looknig at the map now I thought I was more to the right towords the end of the route and I just could find the right road to connect. It was getting dark and my focus turned to getting home before it was dark. I have no lights or reflective cloathing.
Towords the end of the ride, I didnt want to stop moving my legs. It was easier to keep pedling at the same resistent than to coast and start again. I could feel the early signs of that, "if you stop you will cramp" and so that kept me going.
So just shy of 15 miles and as I came down the last stretch of Clayton road I burst into a sprint... and yet I wasn't really even tierd. I think I could have done atleast 5 more miles. I'll save that for the next ride.
Here is the route I took:
