Wild River Camping...
By infrandom on 5/31/2006 1:00:00 AM

This last weekend I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and make it just a bit longer. The original plan was to go a bit more north but it looked like a storm was going to hit that area, and at the elevations I was thinking of, that probably meant snow. I kept looking at weather reports going south until I didnt see anymore rain. Now, this was all being done Friday around 1am, on the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, with no reservations and planning to leave really early to find a spot.

My search landed upon a campground called Wa Ka Luu Hep Yoo (the sign read "Wakalu Hep Yo"). The description in my book sounded good so the final plan was made. Our attempts to leave bright and early at 6am kept getting foiled but we were fin ...

Baba had a rough day...
By infrandom on 5/22/2006 1:00:00 AM

It wasnt any ordinary day today for Baba, his afternoon nap was interupted and he was placed into a card board carrying box. Off to the vet he was. After being checked in, Baba was weighed, 15.8 lbs, not as heavy as  I was expecting. Stil, Baba the Hut is going on a 3lbs diet. He got his shots and home he came, I'm sure he'll be hiding in the cloest for some time. Poor Baba.

My second ride
By infrandom on 5/10/2006 1:00:00 AM

So it was time to brave getting on the saddle again. Still slightly sore from my first ride on Sunday (that blog is comming soon, yes they are out of order). I got on and started for the hill that had stopped me on Sunday. This time I was able to make it over, but it wasnt easy. overall I felt more comfortable and was managing inclines better. In fact, over all I don't know that I would have ended my ride when I did. But I had gotten more lost than I though as my attempts to make my way home without using a main road didn't pan out attempt after attempt. Looknig at the map now I thought I was more to the right towords the end of the route and I just could find the right road to connect. It was getting dark and my focus turned to getting home before it was dark. I have no lights or reflective cloathing.

Towords the end of the ride, I didnt want to stop moving my legs. It was easier to keep pedling at the same resistent than to coast and start again. I could feel t ...

Software Development By infrandom on 4/14/2006

Lately I've been trying to follow Eddie Lopez's blog "User Centered", as Eddie studies the designs of everyday items from a user's point of view.

Well being more technical, everyday things for me sometimes include technology. And today I finally reached a point where something just got me wondering, is this just me, or is this not intuitive. As a software engineer I've used a broad range of developer based software. This differs from end user software because developer focused software is intended to only be used by software developers. The lexicon of programming, and the symbols u ...

Today I received a phone call from Peach, I was saddened to learn that an old kitty friend of mine had passed away. Due to serious illness Ghost had to be put to sleep today. May he rest in peace.
